This is a now a 12 week make-up course studied

1 day a week
2 evenings a week

During the 12 weeks with us your course work will go towards gaining this internationally recognised certificate (VTCT) in Fashion and Photographic make-up, enabling you to acquire the insurance certificates needed to work in the exciting industry.

You will learn many aspects of Make-up including:

Basic make-up/health and safety Looking at the face, shape, colour, skin type and tone. Application. Bases/powders/concealers etc, eye shapes, eyebrows, lip shapes/colours. Facial contouring. Beauty make-up for photography.
Nude looks/minimal and neutral make-up
1920’s 1930’3 trends Effects of make-up trends, working with models, face shapes and contouring and brow blocking.
1940’s 1950’s Brow shapes, highlighting and shading for photography.
Theory and professional research/portfolio building
1960's-1970's make-up using wet and dry products to achieve different depths
Professional studies
Ageing and age reversal
Fashion editoral and photographic make-up
Skin theory/contraindication/skin conditions etc
Fashion make-up looks, make-up techniques used to create looks influenced by film, TV, fashion and music.
Professional studies guest speaker
Colour theory, Runway, beauty and editorial and avant garde make-up
Bridal make-up/Asian
A+P theory
